Marshal Andy and Friends – The Loudon Sessions: Episode 2 (02/18/23)

Part One – “I’ll Hold You in My Heart (Till I Can Hold You in My Arms)”

Written by Eddy Arnold, Hal Horton and Tommy Dilbeck and first recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1947, “I’ll Hold You in My Heart (Till I Can Hold You in My Arms)” was Arnold’s third number one on the Billboard Juke Box Folk Records chart. The song spent 46 weeks on the chart and 21 weeks at number one. It served as his first crossover hit, peaking at number 22 on the Billboard Best Sellers in Stores chart. Marshal Andy and I performed it, alternating sections.

Part Two – “Feels So Right”

“Feels So Right” is a song written by Randy Owen, and recorded by Alabama. It was released in May 1981 as the second single and title track from the band’s album Feels So Right. It was the group’s fourth straight No. 1 single (and first multi-week No. 1) on the Billboard magazine Hot Country Singles chart. In this video, Marshal Andy provides a bit of harmony as his son Drew sings the lyrics.
